Gaming Event Intern

Location: Remote

Start Date: June 2022

Job Type: Internship

Compensation: Monthly Stipend

Position Overview:

Lost Tribe is looking to add an Event Intern to the Gaming team. 

Main Responsibility:

  • Help create and execute various events that Lost Tribe hosts throughout a month. This could range from game nights, custom gaming events for partners, tournaments, streams and more!

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Be an active member of the Lost Tribe Discord community, interacting with staff and community members alike
  • Support Gaming Department as administrative needs arise; this could include coordinating scheduling, making additions/changes to the website, preparing documents, etc.
  • Participate in weekly Gaming Department meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience with running programming for middle and high schoolers
  • Knowledge and experience in gaming 
  • Experience/prior use of Discord
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable interacting with community members on a day-to-day basis
  • Experience working with Jewish organizations or Jewish community a plus

Hebrew-Speaking Discord Community Intern

Start Date: June 2022

Location: Remote

Job Type: Internship

Compensation: Monthly Stipend

Position Overview: 

Lost Tribe is currently searching for a creative, knowledgeable and motivated individual to help grow our online Israeli/Hebrew-speaking community in a Discord Community Intern role. The person hired will have great responsibility and influence on the structuring of our Discord server and implementation of new strategies and programs to drive engagement and bring creativity and innovation to the online community. 

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Monitoring Discord throughout the day and night, interacting daily
  • Actively managing communication and conversations
  • Designing new engagement incentives such as tier-based XP levels, games, contests etc.
  • Answering questions and support pings in Discord help channels
  • Upholding community values and guidelines
  • Removing explicit or otherwise inappropriate content that goes against the community guidelines
  • Providing detailed documentation to Gaming Team management on disciplinary measures taken
  • Creating new Discord-based programming to engage members and increase key performance indicators such as number of total members, number of total messages sent, and number of minutes of voice chat

Qualifications

  • Must be a fluent Hebrew speaker 
  • Must have an advanced/expert level knowledge of Discord
  • Must have a deep understanding of roles, permissions, and server management 
  • Knowledge and experience in gaming and esports
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred, but not required to be knowledgeable of Jewish culture, community, and/or holidays
  • Preferred, but not required to have experience working with teens

Marketing/PR Intern

Location: Remote

Position Overview:

Lost Tribe is looking to add a Marketing/PR Intern to the team. This intern will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and assist in marketing campaigns, copywriting, and strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and draft emails and press releases for external communication
  • Assist in implementing marketing strategies for campaigns, events, and other promotional needs
  • Assist in interdepartmental communication to track deliverables and monitor progress
  • Offer creative ideas and brainstorms for content and strategy
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects at once
  • Familiarity with marketing tools such as G-suite, Monday.com, and Mailchimp/Constant contact a plus
  • Experience working with Jewish organizations or Jewish community a plus
  • Esports, Entertainment, and/or Athletics industry experience a plus
  • Should be self-motivated, reliable, creative, organized, and driven

Social Media/Online Engagement Intern

Position Overview:

Lost Tribe is looking to add a Social Media Intern to the team. This intern will work with the Director of Digital Marketing and the Social Media Administrator to assist in social media posting, creation, and engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sourcing and creating content for the Lost Tribe Brand
  • Post content to multiple social media platforms on a needed basis
  • Engage with Lost Tribe’s online communities and platforms through Comments, replies, etc.
  • Offer creative ideas and brainstorms for content and strategy
  • Stay up to date with common social media and online trends
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects at once
  • Familiarity with multiple social media platforms
  • Experience working with Jewish organizations or Jewish community a plus

Blog Writing Intern

Location: Remote

Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Internship

Compensation: Monthly Stipend

Position Overview:

Lost Tribe is looking to add a blog writer to our team! This position is supervised by the Content Manager & Diversity Leader, coming up with unique columns and news articles that highlight Lost Tribe’s activities, esports updates, and Jewish culture. The individual selected will gain work experience in a fast-paced learning environment alongside a hardworking and passionate team.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Write weekly columns based on personal interests within esports and the Jewish community
  • Brainstorm and pitch fun content ideas  
  • Reach weekly deadlines
  • Use Trello/Monday to track work progress
  • Work with Content Manager on revisions when needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience with blog writing
  • Basic understanding of Google Suite and WordPress CMS
  • Knowledge and experience in gaming, esports, and pop culture
  • Ability to communicate through Discord and email
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Preferred, but not required: knowledge of Jewish culture, community, and holidays
